Yearbook Cover Design Project

Picture
A yearbook cover design is made up of two major components: “the copy” (the written information) and
“artwork” (the compositional design and images used). You will use Adobe Photoshop to design your own original yearbook cover.

Robert F. Hall C.S.S.  2014-2015

STEP ONE: LOOK at previous yearbook designs.

STEP TWO: BRAINSTORM possible imagery and subject matter for your cover. CONSIDER: school colours: green, and gold.

STEP THREE: DRAW 3 conceptual sketches of possible themes based on Robert F. Hall C.S.S.  (i.e. extra curriculars, academic studies etc.) CONSIDER: layout imagery and typographic elements.

STEP FOUR: GET APPROVAL from the teacher on one of your designs and then CREATE your own cover in Adobe Photoshop (teacher will supply format).
