Grade 10 communications techonlogy: Tgj 2O1

This course introduces students to communications technology from a media perspective. Students will work in the areas of TV/video and movie production, radio and audio production, print and graphic communications, photography, and interactive new media and animation. Student projects may include computer-based activities such as creating videos, editing photos, working with audio, cartooning, developing animations, and designing web pages. Students will also develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to communications technology, and will explore secondary and post secondary education and career opportunities in the various communications technology fields.

COURSE NOTE: It is recommended that each student have a 32GB SD Memory Card.

Grade 11 Communications Technology: TGJ 3M1

This course examines communications technology from a media perspective. Students will develop knowledge and skills as they design and produce media projects in the areas of live, recorded, and graphic communications. These areas may include TV, video, and movie production; radio and audio production; print and graphic communications; photography; digital imaging; broadcast journalism; and interactive new media. Students will also develop an awareness of related environmental and societal issues, and will explore college and university programs and career opportunities in the various communications technology fields.

COURSE NOTE: It is recommended that each student have a 32GB SD Memory Card.

​Grade 12 Communications Technology: TGJ 4M1This course enables students to further develop media knowledge and skills while building a diverse portfolio of their work. Students may work in the areas of TV, video, and movie production; radio and audio production; print and graphic communications; photography; digital imaging; broadcast journalism; interactive new media; and animation. Students will also expand their awareness of environmental and societal issues related to Communications Technology, and will investigate career opportunities and challenges in a rapidly changing technological environment.

Grade 12 Yearbook (Interdisciplinary studies): IDC 4U1

Students in this course are responsible for the design and publication of the school's yearbook. Students will produce layouts using current publishing software. There is an emphasis on journalism skills. Students gain useful, real world skills in time management, marketing, teamwork and design principles.This course will help students address the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations that they become effective communicators who use and integrate the Catholic faith tradition in a critical analysis of the arts, media, technology and information systems.

Robert F. Hall students win "It's your Job" video contest

Last year June 2013, Christian A., Ruby K., Vanessa D., and Shandra R. won best safety video throughout Ontario and all of Canada. The second win was a total surprise. We also had the opportunity to win Gold in the 2014 Ava Digital Awards. We would like to thank the Ministry of Labour for the great opportunities.
