Step One: Look in colour magazines for 10 different solid colours. Note: Do not pick simple colours try to find different shades and tints of various colours.
Step Two: Cut out the swatches using scissors and glue them down to a page in your sketchbook.

Step Three: Mix your colours to make the various coloured swatches you have chosen and put a sample beside of the coloured swatches in your sketchbook. NOTE: Use your paint palette to mix the various shades and hues.
