3 Stages of Production

1. Pre-production phase.....
  • Brainstorming - Complete the following Brainstorming Sheet individually.Then assemble with your group to share ideas.
  • Treatment - See Writing a Treatment for a short film.
  • Storyboards - Use the Storyboard Template - (Storyboarding Exercise)
  • Prop List - Create a list of items and who is responsible for bringing them
  • Shot List - Use the Shot List Template
 
2. Production phase.....
  • Video Clarity - Shots are focused, movements are smooth
  • Video Framing - Good composition, follow your storyboards
  • Sound & Lighting - Be aware of appropriate lighting and sound
  • Continuity - Make sure your character and scenes are consistent

3. Post-production phase.....
  • Transitions/Pace - Edit your movie using appropriate transitions and pace
  • Audio - Research and locate appropriate music for your story and add soundtrack music. Also research, locate and/or create sound FX.
  • Titles/Credits - Create an interesting and original title sequence and credit sequence for your film
